The mission of the Young Algaeneers Symposium (YAS) is to foster global networking and share advancements in microalgae and seaweed-based research, innovation, and industry. Designed "by and for" young professionals and researchers, YAS creates an inclusive environment for sharing knowledge, engaging with leaders in industry and academia, and discussing pivotal developments in algae biotechnology.

Our values include:

Collaboration: Bringing together emerging professionals in science and industry to collectively advance algae-related knowledge and technology.
Innovation: Encouraging creative ideas, especially through formats like the Working groups or Innovation Competition.
Empowerment: Supporting young professionals in contributing to future developments in algae research and sustainable practices.
Inclusion and Internationality: Welcoming young professionals from diverse backgrounds and regions—including students, entrepeneurs,post-docs, and early-career researchers—to actively participate and make their voices heard.
